NOTE— The Sir Robert Hunter Trail has been replaced by Hindhead is Safe
This book, published in conjunction with a historical walk which I lead occasionally for the National Trust, introduces you to the scientists, writers, murderers and others who populated Hindhead in the past and is a guide to the short historical trail on Hindhead Common, a glorious expanse of National Trust property in south-west Surrey with views towards London.
You may also be interested in a related title A Balance of Trust which covers the history of the Haslemere/Hindhead area for the half-century between the arrival of the railway in 1859 and the arrival of the motor car at the start of the 20th century.
