John Valler of Headley 1654 PCC Will

The first Day of June 1654 or neare thereabouts John Valler of Linsteed in the parishe of Headly otherwise heathley in the County of Southampton yoman since deceased did make and declare his last Will and Testament nuncupative in manner and forme following that is to say Hee did give and bequeathe unto his eldest sonne John Valler tenne shillings to his second sonne Raphell Valler tenne shillings to his Daughter Mary the now wife of John Hownsome tenne shillings All which said severall Legacies hee willed should be paied within three yeares next after his decease Hee alsoe did give and bequeathe to his youngest sonne Richard Valler tenne pounds And to his youngest Daughter Grissigon Valler tenne pounds both which sayd Legacies he willed should be paied within twoe yeares next after his decease And all the Rest and residue of his Goods and Chattles he did give And bequeathe unto Reddigon his Wife whome hee made and ordeined full and whole Executrix of this his last Will and Testament and nominated and appointed William Valler and John Chittie Overseers thereof All which was soe published and declared by the Testator John Valler the Day and yeare first abovesayd before us whose names are hereunder written./ John Chittie the marke of William Valler./

This will was proved at Westminster the six and twentith Day of September in the yeare of our Lord God according to the Computacon of the Churche of England one thousand six hundred fifty foure before the Judges for probate of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorized by the Oathe of Redigon Valler the Relict of the sayd Deceased and sole Executor named in the sayd Will to whome the Administracon was Committed of all and singuler the Goods Chattles and Debts of the said deceased Shee the sayd Redigon being first sworne by Comission well and truly to administer the same.
